Either eat or be eaten.

Google never fails to amaze me. It's common knowledge that Google changes their home page every now and then. You name it, they have it. Be it Christmas, Halloween, Valentines or St. Patrick's day. Today, they have something new again. A tribute to the classic Pac-Man game lounging ever since 1980. The great thing about this is the fact that you can play it, too! How cool is that?

Google's homepage as of today.

I know Nintendo has a new version of Pac-Man but I gotta say, this classic is still my favorite.

It doesn't get any better than this.

Tumblr is reality in an HTML and CSS format. I have to admit, it is a lot easier to blog with pictures and doodles. Picture says a thousand words, right? With the technology we have today, things are getting a tad lighter every day. Don't you think?

Some of the pictures I found online:

All true. Indeed.

What one does not bake, another brews.

Because my cable sucks and haven’t had the time to change it, I hardly catch Ace of Cakes, Iron Chef and even Giada nowadays. In short, I have no Lifestyle Network in my household. Of course, there’s ETC and 2nd avenue but I prefer LN above all others. The programs they air are very informative and helpful; helpful to those who have no idea of redecorating, cooking/baking, and organizing.

Now that I’m back home, I don’t know when I’ll be able to get a glimpse of Duff Goldman or the inspiring chef masters. Sad. Just sad.

Not a woman's worth but definitely worth buying.

I didn't exactly went shopping yesterday but I think it falls on that category anyway. I went somewhere south to have my iTouch fixed because it has been wonky since last month. I decided to walk around and window shop but to my dismay, I ended up buying some stuff.

I couldn't deny myself the pair of shoes, or boots if you may call it. I've been drooling for it ever since I can't remember. I thought I could never own one because the price is a little steep for me and my *ehem* budget. Yesterday was my lucky day because they were on sale! 30% off but what the heck. Its a pretty good deal for me.

Pretty boots they are, aren't they? :)

Oh. I snagged the last of this as well,

Aldo's two-finger ring

They were in my size which is just great!

Read but you don't have to weep.

Went book shopping yesterday before heading home from a 3 day vacation. I was looking for a copy of Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer at almost every book store I know but couldn't find any. Either its out of stock or the universe decided to gang up on me and hid the book in a different plane or something.

I bought a couple of paperbacks and was so tempted to buy a blue-ish green Holga camera of my own. I haven't seen my Fisheye in ages but I do know that its somewhere in my room. Or maybe I'm just hallucinating.

So! I know Sex and the City 2 would be flying to the country some time next month. Thanks to Candace Bushnell and the producers of the movie. But before watching the film, check out Carrie's transformation from girl to woman, and how she ended up on the Big Apple.

I saw this yesterday and couldn't help but buy it.
This better be a good read.

Of errors and irons.

Haven't been able to watch the news lately because I'm too lazy to switch the TV from AV to cable. Lame, I know. I'm sure you've all heard about Marian Rivera's "Isa po akong Psychology" slip. I didn't see it on TV Patrol but thanks to YouTube, I saw the video everyone was talking about.

See, when it comes to this girl, all kinds of emotion hover and float in the air. There's hate, love, dislike, like, disgust and so on.

I read a couple of comments saying it really shouldn't be an issue because Marian's only human. Or that everyone makes grammatical errors once in a while. Or that the world should give her a break. Some were also comparing Marian's error over Manny Pacquiao's which I think is completely pointless, by the way.

My NO CENT worth about the issue:
  1. People took her "Isa po akong Psychology" statement seriously because we all know that she's slightly grammatically challenged (for a lack of better term). So, people don't really believe that it was an accident. Her one liners in her TVC's speak for it. Does the word "byutiful" ring a bell?
  2. Majority of us always root for the underdog. The Marian-DingDong-Karylle love triangle has been long forgotten but some can't just let it go. I think that adds up to all the hatred and loathing. They see Marian as a relationship wrecker and sad to say, a whore.
  3. She's a celebrity. Period. Let's face it, when you're a public figure you have to be perfect. Every infinitesimal thing about you is magnified. Pores kung pores!
  4. Pretty woman. Enough said.
As Mo Twister said, “If Pacquiao effs it up, we laugh. If it's Marian, she gets destroyed. Life just ain't fair highness.”

On a lighter note, watched Iron Man 2 finally! It was all sorts of AWESOME. I like it.

Looking mighty fine, Mr. Stark.

Much ado about nothing.

I wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy…

NAH.

I woke up one morning and went online after grabbing a cup of joe. I logged on to Facebook and was surprised to see the new trending topic online. It felt like I didn’t log for a month when I only went incognito for about a week or so. Everyone was talking about ‘Jejemons” and the image of Mr. Gibo Teodoro holding a piece of paper concerning such was scattered everywhere.

I seriously have no clue what the "Jejemon" term referred to, but then I remembered that I could just google it. Duh.

Jejemons are low life creatures in the world wide web posting messages that has wrong grammars and spellings.

Example of jejelanguage:

1. Mwahugz xoxo = hugs and kisses in formal language
2. u ahrrr soo fhunnny jejeje
3. e0wSsZz pOwhhZzmUsZtAhH nUah pOwhHzz kEowHsz = hello po musta na po kayo.
4. e0wh phF0u? mUsZtAh nHa?

I get the whole thing. I get that it is annoying to read messages that makes you want to bang your head on the wall. Messages that would want you to hang yourself because you just couldn’t grasp the point of it. I GET IT but ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

I don’t know why it is suddenly a big deal now but when I was high school no one really gives a damn about it. I’ve seen the horrid spellings and nasty grammars way back and it wasn’t that big a deal. Now it is like an epidemic spreading like crazy and people just can’t stop blabbing about it.

The "Jejemon" trend.

It’s unbelievably overrated and much I hate to admit it, those who scrutinize the idea used to be one of them.

Sure it’s fun and hilarious the first time the topic came out but now it’s just annoying and irritating. And those people who condemn “Jejemons” are no exception either. Earth to them. Just because you spell right and type right doesn’t make you more human than the others.

C’mon, world! Get over it already!

I live in a FAIR tale.

Yes, FAIR tale not FAIRY tale.

Sometimes we want fantasy to pull us from reality.

The other day I watched The Backup Plan and I was surprised to see J. Lo in a role I've never seen her done before. She was all sorts of clumsy and gauche. Tripping over flat surfaces, falling to a puddle of icky water and such.

The story was rather modern. It’s not the kind of romantic-comedy where a woman meets the most perfect single guy, fall madly in love with each other then live happily ever after.

Well, you know movies. Of course, in the end, they still live happily ever after.

Anyway, the film was about a woman named Zoe who had herself inseminated fearing that she may never find Mr. Right and end up alone for the rest of her life. She then accidentally stumbles upon would be Mr. Right after the whole insemination process. They click. Everything's fine and dandy. Sparks were flying everywhere...until she finds out that she is INDEED expecting. The conflict starts from there and I really don't want to split details. No spoilers here so keep reading.

I didn't hate the film. Honestly, I sort of understand where Zoe is coming from and her fear to open up to people.

I've seen many people walk out of my life. Some of them I don't want to let go but that's just the way life goes. There were a number of betrayals here and there which made it really hard for me to trust people. It’s like I can't let my guard down, that I always have to watch my back or something. It made me less friendly and sometimes I push or maybe even drive people away. A very weird emotion that I know even if I don't explain, almost everyone can relate and understand.

This is so One Tree Hill but it's the truth.

See, that's the thing about that show. Exaggerated but mirrors real life.
LIFE...only with a bunch of good looking people, superfluous money, and a much magnified area of sex.

I'm blabbing now.

I'm not home at the moment.
This is currently where I lounge and do nothing.
